Technology is key in the everyday of most managers – To help managers become more useful, I have listed a number of very useful applications for Mobile phones, that can help you being more effective in many ways.

Intercall mobile assistant
The Intercall Mobile Assistant is one of the applications that I have found extremely useful.
Like many others I have a lot of conference calls in my calendar and having to dial conference numbers and remembering pass codes often requires a bit of effort – However with this brilliant application you can programme your conference call numbers, pass and/or leader code into this programme. This means that with a click of a button you can join the conference calls and the phone automatically enter the codes – This is fantastic as you don’t need to remember the numbers and codes, which is often a mess if you are travelling.
Linkedin
LinkedIn is the most popular business networking tool around. Having this easily available on your phone is very useful – If you are on the way to a meeting with participants you don’t already know or if you travel frequent and create a lot of connections, having this application available is a must.
FlightTrack
Flight Tracker is currently the best overall flight tracker and it can be extremely useful to have this application handy if you are a frequent flyer.
Flight Company applications
The individual companies you fly with often also have their own mobile applications, these can also be very useful and many of them are starting to have mobile check-in and other useful features, so I recommended checking these out.
TripIt
TripIt is also a very popular travel application that can be very useful if you are a frequent traveller.
CamCard
If you are like me and always struggle to find business cards when you need them, CamCard is the solution to your problem! All you need to do is take a picture using the CamCard application and the info will automatically be added to your list. CamCard can also recognise QR codes and it also have the option to export excel files.
CamScanner
CamScanner is an application that turns your phone into a document scanner, which means if you need to sent a document to a colleague you simply take a picture, CamScanner converts it into PDF and you can sent it off. I have also found it useful to organize some of my lose notes when I travel. It’s also great if you need your PA to write up notes you have taken.
Splashtop
Splashtop is an awesome application, that makes it possible to bring your desktop computer straight to your smart phone device.
The application can link to desktop or laptop computers via wi-fi, which is great if you “just forgot that document” or need to do something on your computer remotely.
